Garden Fete The Rectory

4th August 1910 The Rector had kindly lent his garden for the fete which commenced at the conclusion of the stone laying ceremony…… Excellent Teas were provided for a small charge and the visitors, who attended in good numbers (about 200), had plenty in the way of amusement. Four cinematography exhibitions were given and there were coconut shies and “Aunt Sally” and sports, as well as two concerts during the afternoon. Dancing in the evening brought an enjoyable day to a close. Cambridge Independent News 12th August 1910
