Arrington now has a mobile post office, which attends in the Clifden Close Community Centre every Tuesday from 11.30am to 1.30pm. This does not offer all the services that a main post office can, but stamps are available, cash can be withdrawn and parcels sent – to name but a few of the services on offer. The gentleman who operates the service is very helpful and always cheerful. Arrington is the second of four villages he covers on a Tuesday. If you fancy a walk from Croydon to Arrington when the post office is open, it is well worth a visit.
